Kristine Hannah is Regional Director, Quality, Patient Safety and Risk with Southern Health – Santé Sud. In this role she provides leadership, consultation and mentorship on quality improvement, risk management, ethics and patient safety to the board, senior and middle leadership and staff throughout the regional health authority. She has 25 years of healthcare experience in various settings including primary care, acute care, chronic care/long term care and the community. Prior to her current position, Kristine has held various roles including general duty nurse, clinical education facilitator, advanced practice nurse, facility director, and regional program director. Kristine’s professional background is nursing, and she recently completed a Masters of Science in Human Factors and System Safety from Lund University in Sweden. She has also completed various courses relating to governance, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. Kristine served on the Disciplinary Committee of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba for 11 years, and on the Central District Executive. Kristine was nominated by Southern Health – Santé Sud.
